Pickens, SC – July XX, 2023 - Upcountry Fiber, the internet service provider created by utility cooperatives Blue Ridge Electric Co-op (BREC) and WCFIBER, a subsidiary of West Carolina Rural Telephone Cooperative (WCTEL), has launched a new multi-gig broadband internet service offering to residential customers with symmetrical speeds up to 10 GIGs per second. Building on the strong benefits of Upcountry Fiber’s existing high-speed, fiber broadband network, the new offering helps to future proof home networks as bandwidth needs continue to evolve.
Current and future households* in Anderson, Northern Greenville, Pickens, Oconee and northern Spartanburg counties can now choose between 2.5 and 10 gigabits per second service options in addition to existing service plans.
